Not sure what is causing a noise in the attic or holes in your deck?
Expert Pest Control has helped New Jersey and Pennsylvania customers with pest problems since 1991. Here are straightforward answers to questions we hear often. If you need help identifying a pest, give us a call at 609-387-1116.
Not necessarily. What you saw, where you saw it and whether there are other signs all matter. Take a photo if you can, and call us if you notice repeat activity, droppings or damage.
We ask what you have noticed, inspect for pest activity and look for conditions that may be contributing to it. Then we explain what we found and recommend a plan suited to your property.
It depends on the pest and the extent of the problem. Some situations call for a targeted visit; others benefit from follow-up or recurring service. We can explain your options after assessing the activity.
Tell us about children, pets and aquariums before service. Your technician will explain any preparation and reentry instructions for the specific treatment. Please follow those instructions rather than assuming every treatment has the same requirements.
They might be. Winged termites can leave discarded wings near windows, but other insects can look similar. Save a specimen or take a close photo, and arrange an inspection to find out what you have.
The sound alone cannot reliably identify the animal. A technician can look for droppings, entry points and other signs to determine what may be inside. Avoid sealing an opening while an animal might still be there.
Maybe, but one catch does not show how it got inside or whether more are present. If you find fresh droppings or hear more movement, we can check for activity and possible entry points.
Yes. We can assess the animal activity and discuss removal and ways to keep wildlife from reentering. Please do not try to handle a wild animal yourself.
Mosquitoes can breed in small amounts of standing water, including water in buckets, plant saucers and clogged gutters. Empty what you can, and ask us whether a yard treatment would help with the remaining activity.
No outdoor treatment can guarantee a mosquito-free yard. New mosquitoes can fly in, and standing water can produce more. Treatment works best alongside removing water where mosquitoes breed.
Yes. Animals can carry ticks into a yard, and ticks may be found in vegetation and along yard edges. Yard treatment can be part of a plan, but you should still check people and pets for ticks after outdoor time.
They can bore round holes in exposed wood, including decks, fascia and trim. If you see holes or bees hovering near wood, we can check whether the activity is current and recommend treatment and repair steps.
Have active holes checked before sealing them. Covering an opening before the activity is addressed may leave insects inside. We can advise you on when to repair the wood.
Disturbing a nest can lead to multiple stings. Keep people and pets away, especially if the nest is near a doorway or play area, and contact us to identify the insect and discuss removal.
Cleaning removes food, but ants may still be following a trail from a colony elsewhere. Identifying the ant and where it is entering helps us address the source of the activity.
Yes. Depending on the pest, we may recommend exterior service, closing suitable entry points and removing conditions that attract pests. The right prevention plan depends on your property.
